Paint Protection Film — Autobahn Rüstung

Armor you'll
never see.

Self-healing Autobahn film, cut and fitted to your car's exact panels — so stone chips, road rash and door strikes stop at the film and never reach the paint.

What it stops

Everything the road throws at it.

Autobahn Rüstung is a self-healing urethane. Light scratches and swirls disappear with heat from the sun or a heat gun. Underneath, the paint stays exactly as it left the factory.

01

Stone chips

The highway's constant sandblast. Every chip lands on the film, not the clear coat.

02

Road rash

Rocker panels, bumper corners and hood edges take the worst of it. Those are the first edges we roll past.

03

Door strikes & keys

A parking-lot door, a bag zipper, a ring. The film takes the scratch and heals it in the sun.

04

Bugs, tar & bird etching

Acidic contaminants etch clear coat within hours. On film, they wipe away.

How ours differs

The part you would never think to check.

01 — Fitted, not templated

Fitted to the car
in front of us.

Every panel is measured and fitted on the vehicle. Edges are rolled past the line wherever the panel allows, and tucked behind trim and into panel gaps where they cannot lift or collect dirt.

“Even though this painted panel is concealed by the rear bumper, it’s also fully protected.”

02 — One piece

Bumpers in
one piece.

Wherever the geometry allows, bumpers and hoods go on as a single sheet — no seams, no relief cuts across the face of the panel. It is slower and harder, and it is the difference you cannot see.

“One piece bumper (seamless). Tucked edges.”

Process

Four stages. No shortcuts.

01

Inspect & decontaminate

Every panel checked under the lamps, then washed and decontaminated so nothing gets sealed under the film.

02

Correct the paint

Where the paint needs it, swirls and etching are leveled first. Film magnifies whatever is underneath it.

03

Cut & fit the film

Fitted to the actual panel, edges rolled wherever the panel allows and tucked behind trim.

04

Seal, cure & hand back

Edges checked and the film left to settle, then the car handed back with the first-wash window explained.

Questions

Straight answers.

Something we have not covered? Ask directly — replies come from the shop, not a call center.

Ask a question
Will the film yellow or peel?

Modern urethane films like Autobahn Rüstung are built not to. The old reputation comes from a previous generation of vinyl-based films. Peeling almost always traces back to edges that were left short or unsealed — which is exactly why ours are rolled wherever the panel allows, and tucked behind trim.

How does self-healing work?

The top coat is elastic. Light scratches and swirl marks close back up with heat — an afternoon in the sun, hot water, or a heat gun in the shop. Deep gouges through the film are a replacement panel, not a repair; it is doing its job either way.

Can I still wash and detail the car?

Yes — hand wash, touchless, or pressure wash. Give the film a few days to fully cure before the first wash and keep pressure-washer nozzles off the edges. A ceramic coating over the film makes washing easier still.

Is it removable? Does it hurt the paint?

It is designed to be removed by a professional with heat, leaving the factory paint underneath as it was the day the film went on. That is the whole point: the film takes the damage, not the car.

Which coverage should I choose?

It depends on the car and how it is driven. A daily driver on the interstate needs Full Front at minimum. A car that sees track days or long highway trips earns the Track Pack. If the car is one you intend to keep perfect, Full Body is the honest answer — and we will say so if it is not.
